Keeping up with Liam (and sweating trying to do so...)

Hello everyone!  We're back with our monthly update!  Liam and Fischer are doing well!  Fischer started 3rd grade, and so far, he loves it! 

Liam is 24 pounds and 31 inches tall.  He is in the 75th percentile across the board!  The Dr. says he's doing great, and also said (as she looked upon me with pity) that he has the motor skills of an 18 month old.  He's tough to keep up with these days!  His newly acquired "running" skills have put a couple of bumps on his head, but nothing too serious.  He has scared our nanny to death trying to climb on the couch.  He can open the top drawers in the kitchen and bathroom, and he can reach the counter tops! 

He's eating really well.  He's drinking "real" milk, and he loves his sippy cup!  No more bottles or formula-YAY!  He's trying so hard to talk.  He looks at us so seriously and just jabbers away, like he's really telling us something important!  He is mimicking everything we do (we have to be careful)!  It's truly amazing how much his little brain absorbs!  He loves music, and loves to dance (which is quite a funny sight, I must say!).  He is such a sweet boy! He gives such sweet hugs and kisses all the time (all you have to do is ask)! 

He got his first haircut not too long after his birthday, and he did really well-as long as there was a sucker involved!  The pictures are below.  He also got his "one year" pictures made!  They are so adorable!  I can't wait to get them back so I can share!  It won't be too long, I hope.  Here is what I have for the month, enjoy!

Happy Birthday Liam!

Oh my! Here we are at one year! I can't believe it's here already. We have had a great month! Liam is pretty much running everywhere now! He's into everything, and learning so much everyday! He can say "hey" and wave, and he says "yay" when he claps. It's too cute! He is eating almost exclusively "big boy" food now. He loves anything that we're eating pretty much. He has his doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks, but I do know he weighs almost 24 pounds, and he's growing like a weed!

We had a blast at his first birthday party! He wasn't feeling very well (he had a little cold), but he played like a champ, and had a great time anyway! He got some really cool presents too! Thank you to everyone who made it special for us! We enjoyed seeing you all! Here are the pictures! Enjoy!

We have had such a wonderful, happy year! We just couldn't have asked for a sweeter or more special little boy! He has truly been everything I have hoped and dreamed for. To be perfectly honest, I get a little choked up thinking about this year, and the fact that it's over. So, instead of writing a novel here, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

What a difference a month makes...

Wow! We've had a lot of changes this month! Liam now has 2 teeth, and two more in the making! We've had some rough days (and nights!), but he's doing great! He started saying "Mama" recently--YAY!!

He has also started walking!! We can't believe it! Those first steps were so sweet (and SO scary) for Mommy! I was so glad that I was there to see it! He's taking longer and longer "strolls" every day. We're trying to get some video, but Mommy gets so nervous, she forgets! Of course, we'll post it as soon as we get it.

He is also eating some big boy food now. He LOVES any kind of potato! He'll eat pretty much anything on my plate (as long as it's on MY plate!), and he even ate some pot roast with carrots! It's still pretty funny to watch him "chew" it all up!

We're amazed at all the new things he's trying each day. He thinks he's big enough to do what Fischer does, and they LOVE to play together! He is into EVERYTHING! He can open any cabinet or drawer, I guess we need to do some more baby proofing! We are having so much fun, and we can't wait to see what's next! Here's the latest pictures:

Liam's 10th month

Hello everyone! We're back for month 10!! Liam is growing and getting so big! He loves the sound of his voice. I'm actually surprised he has one, he talks and screeches all day long! He's getting better and better at standing alone. I know those first steps will be coming soon! YIKES! We're having a lot of fun trying new things. He's not a big fan of most of the textures of "real" food yet, but we're working on it! Still no teeth! Liam still loves to be outside! Now his favorite thing is to crawl in the grass. He also likes to try and eat it (along with everything else)!

I took so many pictures this month, that I decided to present them in a different way. I hope you enjoy it!




We're still having a blast! He's such a happy baby! Hope you're all doing well too!

Happy Mother's Day! Liam is 9 months!

Liam is 9 months old! We can't believe the year mark is right around the corner! He is doing great! His latest stats are: 21 lbs. 11 oz., and 29 1/2 inches long! He is in the 50th percentile for height and weight (right smack in the middle of the chart!). The doctor said he is doing great, and she's proud of him for eating all of his vegetables!



We had a wonderful Easter! Fischer and Liam had lots of treats from the Easter Bunny! We had a lot of fun that day. Unfortunately, most of it is documented on video, and I haven't had a chance to upload it yet. There are a few pictures below, though!



Aunt Aleia and Uncle Stuart came to visit for a few days. Liam absolutely loved the company! He followed Uncle Stuart everywhere, even into the bathroom! :) We had so much fun, and we hope to see them again soon. A few days later, Big Mama and Big Daddy came down to visit also. We had a blast, as usual!



Liam is absolutely hilarious! We are having so much fun! He's figuring out new sounds and new faces to make all the time. He's still trying to "cruise" around the furniture, and in the last few days has been trying to stand on his own (SCARY!). He wants to walk everywhere. He'll stand right in front of you until you grab his hands and help him "walk" to where he wants to go! It's so amazing to watch him develop new skills everyday!
