Update

I know I haven't updated in a while, but there has been a lot going on lately! I've been off work on "modified bedrest" for about 2 weeks per my doctor's instructions. I have been diagnosed with placenta previa, which basically means that my placenta is covering my cervix. The baby, however, is great! The heart rate is good and strong.

After my appointment today, I have good news! I will be able to go back to work starting on Wednesday. My doctor just wants to play it by ear and see how it goes for a while. Hopefully the little one won't use my placenta as a trampoline!

My next appointment is in 2 weeks, and it is then that I will have my big "anatomy" ultrasound. They will look at all of the vital organs and hopefully will be able to tell us what we're having! Matthew is really anxious to find out, and I don't think I'm going to make him wait until August! So, all in all, we're doing fine! I'll update after my next appointment. In the meantime, here is my belly picture for this week. I don't think it's changed too much. Matthew says it's just the black shirt. :)

Baby Watch 2008

My mother, being 4 hours away (and very persistent) has urged me to begin documenting the journey of my first pregnancy. So, here it goes...

I am now 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant! It has been a roller coaster ride already, as I have been quite ill until the last week or so. I am slowly beginning to feel a little better. I am fairly sure, however, that I won't ever feel entirely "normal" again! Matthew and Fischer are SO excited, and they have been taking GREAT care of me! Let's see if I can get everyone up to date.

Here is my 5 week ultrasound. Merry Christmas to us!

Here is my 9 week ultrasound. What a difference!

Here is my last ultrasound at 13 weeks! You can see arm bones, leg bones, feet, hands, even fingers! Here is the whole body, head to the left, legs curled up on the right.

Here is an arm and fingers on the left, and a leg and foot on the right.

Here it looks like it's saying "what a headache!"

Here is my first "belly" picture. Fischer took this picture for me! I was very impressed!

We'll update again soon!
